Is Lodging and Food available?

There are numerous grocers and restaurants located within close driving distance of our studios (and coffee stands).  On site lunch is included with many of our classes.  There are several hotels and motels that are a short drive away.  The closest one is the Motel 6 in Glenwood, at exit 191 off I-5.  Offsite camping is available a short drive away, and we do allow limited on-site camping at this time.

What's up with the camping?

The temperate Willamette valley is popular for summer camping.  Numerous scenic campgrounds are within driving distance of the studio, and are inexpensive.  On-site camping is free--however, there are no on-site laundry services nor are there cooking facilities available to campers (other than the prepared lunch included with this class).  It is essential that campers bring absolutely everything that they will need to be comfortable, including but not limited to: coolers, chairs, table utensils, etc.  There is one flush toilet available and a utility sink.  In the years to come, we hope to add amenities for our on site campers.

Are glass supplies available for purchase?

Winship Designs is located in Eugene, and is a complete retail lampworking supply store.  We also sell a variety of lampworking tools and kilns  available (many of which are used during our classes), which can be ordered while you are here.

May I bring....?

Please do not bring any pets, assistants, friends or video cameras.  As our residence is located on the property, campers are asked to to drive (while on our property) with the utmost caution.  After 9pm on site campers are asked to not generate excessive noise.  After class hours, several additional hours of torch time  are usually available for students that want to keep working.

Registered students will receive a packet of information about Eugene which details some of the many local lodging options, local entertainment, and restaurants.  Please feel free to call us with any additional questions@ 877.293.2920.
